Similar to the ASRock Intel 700-series motherboard line-up, the vendor's AMD 600-series motherboard range has also leaked, including upcoming X670E and B650 models.
VideoCardz was the first to share ASRock's AMD 600-series motherboard line-up, which, surprisingly, didn't include any X670 motherboards. However, the leak does include five X670E models – Taichi, Taichi Carrara, Steel Legend, Phantom Gaming Lightning, and Pro RS.
The line-up also confirmed rumours about ‘Extreme' versions of B650 motherboards. The leak claims there will be give B650E motherboards coming from ASRock, as well as seven regular B650 boards spanning ATX, M-ATX and ITX form factors.
Unfortunately, the leak doesn't confirm any details about B650E boards. Reports claim the mid-range “E” boards will have additional PCIe Gen5 lanes, similar to X670E. However, adding these lanes will probably bump up prices, as they'll need to meet specific criteria. As for the difference between the B650E and X670E, it should be the lack of “extreme” overclocking features.
AMD 600-series motherboards should be coming out alongside the Ryzen 7000 series later this year. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.
KitGuru says: If you were to build a new PC based on the AMD Ryzen 7000 series platform, would you go for a B650, B650E, X670, or X670E motherboard?
