The Intel Core i9-13900K has finally made its first appearance on Geekbench. In the entry, you can see the CPU operating frequency going as high as 5.7GHz, likely thanks to Thermal Velocity Boost technology.
The Geekbench entry shared by Benchleaks shows the 24C/32T hybrid processor scoring pretty high in the rankings. Mounted on an Asus ROG Maximus Z690 and paired with 32GB of DDR5-6400 memory, the CPU clock frequency averaged at 5.5GHz during the test run, peaking at 5.7GHz.

The scores achieved by the processor were deemed invalid “due to an issue with the timers on the system”. Still, assuming they are accurate, the upcoming i9 chip outperforms its predecessors by 7% (2,133 vs 1,987) in the single-core test, likely due to the higher frequency. In Geekbench's multi-core test, the additional E-cores in the upcoming flagship CPU allowed it to beat the i9-12900K by 37% (23,701 vs 17,272).

KitGuru says: Seeing the Geekebench scores suggests the P-cores in Raptor Lake won't bring any significant IPC gain. Still, the increased core count and higher clock speeds will be a welcome improvement over Alder Lake.
