Ultimate Ears announces UE Drops – the first true wireless custom-moulded earbuds

Ultimate Ears, Logitech's audio-focused brand, is launching its most customisable earbuds yet. The new UE Drops earbuds can be custom-moulded to your own ear shape, which will improve audio quality, sound isolation and offer the perfect fit for comfort. 

When ordering these earbuds, UE will send you a FitKit, which you can then use alongside an iOS or Android app to take accurate measurements of your ears. Once that is done, you send the kit back to UE and within a few weeks, UE will send out a pair of TWS earbuds adjusted to your measurements. Alternitavely, you can use your earprint to get custom UE CSX or UE Pro earbuds, which should ship faster.

Like many high-end TWS earbuds, it features a transparency mode that allows you to hear your surroundings through two built-in microphones. Each bud has a 9.2mm sweat-resistant speaker driver that, when added with their custom fit, makes for a perfect companion for practising sports.

Available in three pearlescent colours (blue, pink and black), the UE Drops provide users with up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. The included wireless charging case can give you an extra 14 hours of battery life and a 5-minute quick charge will give you roughly 1 hour of use.
