Earlier this year Activision announced that it would be making a return to Steam after years of absence forcing PC players to use the publisher’s own bespoke launcher. Ahead of Activison’s full return to the platform, the publisher now has an official Steam page.
Going to https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Activision will now take you to the official Activision Steam store page, where you can follow the publisher and view all of the games released by them.
Currently, the page is rather bare, with no real formatting and a lack of any lists. Furthermore, the most recent game published by Activision on Steam remains as 2019’s Spyro Reignited Trilogy. That being said, this is a welcome first step in Activision’s return to the leading PC platform.
We do not yet know exactly when Activision will begin publishing games back on the platform, but it has been confirmed that the upcoming Modern Warfare II will be coming to Steam (which releases on the 28th of October 2022).
Since Activision’s departure from Steam, the publisher has released a plethora of games on its own Battle.net launcher. Hopefully these games find their way onto Steam sooner rather than later.
