Spider-Man Remastered PC release date, system requirements and graphics features revealed

Earlier this summer, Sony surprised us all by announcing Insomniac's Spider-Man and Miles Morales games for PC. We'll be getting Spider-Man Remastered on PC in just a few weeks time, on the 12th of August. Sony has also revealed graphical features and the system requirements needed to run the game.

Spider-Man Remastered will have a fully unlocked frame rate on PC, adjustable graphics settings, ray-traced reflections, ultra-wide monitor support so you can swing around NYC with a massive field of view, and Nvidia's DLSS technology to improve performance. You will also be able to customise the control scheme to your liking. You can get a full breakdown of the PC features in the new trailer below:

Sony has also released the minimum, recommended and 4K/60 PC system requirements, as well as a separate set of requirements for ray-tracing. At minimum to get the game running at 720p/30FPS with Very Low graphics settings, you'll need a GTX 950 graphics card and Intel Core i3-4160 or AMD equivalent CPU and 8GB of RAM.

The recommended system requirements target 1080p/60FPS with medium settings. For this, you'll need at least a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580 GPU, an Intel Core i504670 or Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and 16GB of RAM. To make the jump to 4K/60FPS with Very High settings, you'll need an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT graphics card, an Intel Core i5-11400 or Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and 16GB of RAM.

If you are looking to switch ray-tracing on, then you'll need a beefier rig. For 1440p/60FPS with ray-tracing on high, you”ll need an RTX 3070 or RX 6900 XT GPU, a Core i5-116600K or Ryzen 7 3700X CPU and 16GB of RAM. To get 4K/60FPS, you'll need an RTX 3080 or RX 6950 XT graphics card, a Core i7-12700K or Ryzen 9 5900X CPU and 32GB of RAM.

You will also need 75GB of storage space to get the game installed, and an SSD is recommended. Spider-Man Remastered will be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store on the 12th of August. Later this year, the standalone expansion, Miles Morales, will also be released.

KitGuru Says: Rumours suggested we'd be getting many other PlayStation exclusives on PC, but not Spider-Man, so it has been great to see it announced and released so quickly. Will you be picking this up at release?
