Hogwarts Legacy to release in December

Back in March, we got our first good look at Hogwarts Legacy in action through a dedicated State of Play stream. During the gameplay reveal, the developers confirmed a ‘holiday 2022' release window. Now, we may have a more specific release date.

The PSN listing for Hogwarts Legacy was recently updated with a December 6th release date. Recently, as pointed out by VGC, an Amazon listing for an upcoming artbook for the game was also updated to a December release date. Typically, artbooks for big video game releases arrive around the same time as the game itself.

Hogwarts Legacy is set in the late 1800s, with a new cast of professors and students looking to protect the school from an alliance between goblins and dark wizards. As previously promised, players will get to create their own characters, go to classes, brew potions, learn new spells and explore the entire castle, as well as the surrounding areas.

When the game does release, it will be heading to current and last-gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC. A port for the Nintendo Switch is also being planned for a later date.

KitGuru Says: With God of War: Ragnarök arriving in November, and Hogwarts Legacy being a big PS5 partner title, this December release date seems likely.
