AMD may reveal more on Ryzen 7000 CPUs at an event next week

As the company confirmed over the summer, AMD is currently preparing for the rollout of Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors and new Socket AM5 motherboards. It has been a while since the last official update, but AMD won't keep us waiting much longer, as an upcoming AMD event should bring about more details.

AMD has a ‘Meet the Experts' panel set to take place on the 4th of August, lasting roughly one hour. As pointed out by Planet3DNow, the event description promises discussions on Socket AM5 and the X670E/X670 chipsets, a look at several flagship motherboards and how the platform paves the way for Ryzen 7000 processors to reach new performance heights.

With all of this in mind, we should expect AMD to ramp up communications on its upcoming desktop CPU launch soon, with an official launch just around the corner. Hopefully we'll also hear a bit more about what performance we can expect from new DDR5 memory modules for AMD systems and PCIe 5.0 SSDs.

The panel will not include new information on the cheaper B650 or B650E chipset motherboards, which could be an indication that mid-range motherboards may not be available at launch. However, there will be at least one X670E motherboard from each major manufacturer, including the Biostar X670E Valkyrie, MSI X670E Ace, the Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme, the ASRock X670E Taichi and the Gigabyte Aorus Extreme X670E.
