Fractal Design introduces the new Focus 2 mid-tower chassis

Fractal Design is finally updating the Focus case. The new Focus 2 promises to deliver good airflow in a straightforward, easy to build in chassis, with an affordable price tag to boot.

The new Fractal Design Focus 2 is the company's entry-level chassis, offering what it considers to be the essential features for a product of this type. That includes a simple yet functional interior layout, cable management on the back of the motherboard tray, and a meshed front panel, among other things. You can also upgrade the case later, as Fractal Design is releasing accessories, including storage expansion slots and a USB-C upgrade kit.

There are three black models of the Focus 2, one with a plain side panel, another with a tempered glass side panel, and the RGB version, coming with two RGB fans in the front panel and a tempered glass side panel. Additionally, there are two white models, both featuring tempered glass side panels. The only difference is one comes with two RGB fans, and the other doesn't. All cases feature 140mm fans in the front.

On the inside, there's space to accommodate up to 2x 2.5-inch drives (up to 6x by adding trays), and 2x 3.5-inch drives. There are also 7x PCIe expansion slots, space for a 120mm fan on the back and up to two 120/140mm fans in the roof. You can mount a 360mm radiator on the front, while the top is limited to a 240mm radiator. CPU coolers can be up to 170mm tall. For the PSU, there's 250mm (175mm recommended) of clearance. The GPU can be up to 405mm long, and compatible motherboard form factors include ATX, mATX and Mini-ITX.

The Focus 2 is now available starting at $69.99, with the RGB versions going for $79.99.
