Lenovo launches two new 180Hz gaming monitors

Lenovo is getting ready to launch two new gaming monitors. Both have the same design, 27–inch panel size and adjustable stand, but the panels themselves do differ. One is a cheaper 1080p display, while the other offers 1440p instead.

First, we have the Y27-30, a 27-inch IPS monitor with FullHD resolution, 0.5ms response time (MPRT), and 144Hz native refresh rate, which can be overclocked to 180Hz. With an 8-bit panel, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 400nits of typical brightness, the panel can cover 99% of the sRGB colour spectrum. Moreover, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium and AdaptiveSync.

Then, there's the Y27q-30, which also has a 27-inch IPS panel with a 0.5ms response time and 180Hz refresh rate (OC), 1000:1 contrast ratio and 400nits of typical brightness. However, this one has a QHD resolution and a 10-bit LUT, bumping sharpness and colour depth considerably. Like the Y27-30, it also supports AMD FreeSync Premium and AdaptiveSync and can cover 99% of the sRGB colour gamut.

Both monitors come with 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, 2x 3W speakers, a USB hub with 4x USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, and 2x 3W speakers. Additionally, they come with a height-adjustable stand that also allows the user to tilt, swivel and pivot, as well.
