High On Life pushed to December, will still come to Xbox Game Pass on day-one

One of the biggest surprises from Xbox's games showcase in June was High On Life, a new sci-fi shooter from Squanch Games, with Rick & Morty's Justin Roiland also being involved in the project. While the game was targeting an October release date, the team needs a bit more time, but the game will still launch this year.

In an announcement, Squanch Games has confirmed that High On Life has been moved from the 25th of October to the 13th of December. Nothing else is affected, so the game will still be a PC and Xbox exclusive at launch, and the game will still be available on Game Pass day-one.

To make up for the delay, Squanch Games offered the above animated skit, which really doesn't have anything to do with the game, but if you're a fan of Roiland's humour, then you'll get a laugh out of it.

High On Life is a sci-fi shooter, in which humanity is being threatened by aliens that want to use humans as drugs – yes, you read that correctly. Together with your talking guns (you read that right too), you'll set out on a mission to take down an alien gang and save the world.

KitGuru Says: High On Life looked like a really great time in its original reveal. It's a shame to see the game delayed, but the game is still making it out this year.
