The Lenovo Legion Y32p-30 offers 4K at 144Hz and HDMI 2.1

Lenovo announced a new gaming monitor at IFA 2022 – the Legion Y32p-30. Lenovo's new monitor already ticks a lot of the right boxes, packing a 32-inch panel with 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 connectivity. 

The Lenovo Legion Y32p-30 packs a 32-inch IPS panel with 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 0.2ms response time (MPRT). This monitor even packs DisplayHDR certification, thanks to its 10-bit panel with 16 local dimming zones. The factory calibration ensures a ΔE<2, allowing the monitor to cover up to 99% of the sRGB colour gamut and 90% of the DCI-P3 spectrum.

Like most gaming monitors, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium and has Eyesafe 2.0 certification. In addition, there's smart RGB lighting below the monitor and an ambient light sensor that adjusts the screen brightness based on the lighting conditions of the room.

Other nice gimmicks of this monitor include a foldable headphone/headset holder on the left of the screen, a built-in KVM switch, and a USB hub with a USB-C 3.1 port and two USB-A 3.1 ports. More connectivity options include a DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The included stand offers tilt, height adjustment and swivel capabilities, but there's support for third-party VESA arms too.

The Lenovo Legion will come to the US for $749 in December 2022. As for Europe, the monitor will arrive a month later, in January 2023, costing €999.

KitGuru says: Compared to other similar monitors, the US price seems reasonable. However, the European price looks a tad exaggerated, considering you can buy a monitor with similar specs for less than €800.
