Star Wars Jedi: Survivor tipped for March 2023 release

Earlier this year at Star Wars Celebration, Respawn and EA officially announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the highly anticipated sequel to Fallen Order. Officially, the game's release date is currently ‘2023' but new evidence points to a March release date.

This week, two new Star Wars Jedi books were announced, which will continue and expand on Respawn's slice of the Star Wars universe. One of these books will take place in between Fallen Order and Survivor, bridging some of the time gap between the two games. According to Jeff Grubb, who has been very active (and accurate) when it comes to reporting on Jedi Survivor, the new game will also be coming out in March.

This isn't an entirely new rumour, as the PlayStation Store previously listed the game as launching in ‘early March 2023', but the new report suggests that nothing has changed and the game is still on track for that release date.

If the game is coming in early 2023, then we should get another look at the game before the end of the year. So far, we've only had a brief teaser, and the promise of a darker story, so we still need to see gameplay and get confirmation on story details.

KitGuru Says: 2022 has been filled with delays and we've had some very barren months. Hopefully in 2023, more major releases can meet their planned release dates, with a more even spread throughout the year.

While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
