This week, Microsoft began teasing Death Stranding as an upcoming title for Xbox Game Pass for PC. The company continued that teasing last night with another teaser image. Soon, the teasing will come to an end though, as it is reported that Death Stranding will be announced for Game Pass later today.
Microsoft already revealed the big Game Pass update for the second half of the month, but the company held several surprises up its sleeve for Game Pass PC users. At QuakeCon last night, a number of classic titles were brought over to Game Pass for the first time. Beyond that, Death Stranding is set to be announced for Game Pass later today.
According to industry reporter, Tom Henderson, Microsoft will officially announce Death Stranding for Game Pass today. The game will likely drop today too, just in time for the weekend, although it is possible that Microsoft saves Death Stranding for early September instead.
Death Stranding was originally a PlayStation exclusive, but eventually came to PC. The game is unlikely to show up on Xbox consoles, but the PC version hitting Game Pass is a nice move. Now we'll just have to wait and see if it is the base game version, or the Director's Cut edition.
KitGuru Says: Death Stranding is a unique game that is well worth trying. With the title now coming to Game Pass, you should give the game a shot if you are a subscriber.
