Last Friday, we had the opportunity to pop down to Silverstone to meet with ASUS. While there, two new OLED ROG gaming monitors were revealed, and Asus is also partnering up with the Racing Sim experts at Vesaro.
During an ROG Apex event at Silverstone, the company revealed two upcoming ROG Swift OLED gaming monitors. Asus has partnered with the OLED experts at LG for the panels, offering two 4K displays with G-Sync and FreeSync, HDR, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity and a low 0.1ms refresh rate. Both are large format displays, with the 42-inch ROG Swift PG42UQ expected to cost £1399 and the 48-inch ROG Swift PG48UQ coming in at £1499.
In the gallery above you can see some images from the event. Leo was in attendance, so you'll likely hear his take on the event in a video soon.
The other big thing we learned during ROG Apex is that Asus is now supplying monitors to Vesaro, a company that specialises in racing sims, including a full triple-screen motion physics simulator. There is not much else known about this at this time, and we also don't know when the new ROG OLED monitors will be available, but expect more details on that very soon.
