Just a couple of days ago, leaks pointed to a November 15th launch date for Sonic Frontiers, SEGA's attempt to deliver a fully open-world 3D Sonic game. As it turns out, the game might be coming out a week earlier than that in order to get out ahead of God of War: Ragnarök.
While a retail leak pointed to the game coming out on the 15th of November, a YouTube advertisement, which went live hours ahead of the game's showing at Gamescom today, Sonic Frontiers will be releasing on the 8th of November. This means the game will come out just one day before God of War: Ragnarök, which is set to be one of the biggest AAA releases of the year.
The YouTube advertisement was only live for a short time, but it did clearly show the release date, as well as the full slate of launch platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5.
We'll be getting the official announcement from SEGA, as well as a new trailer for Sonic Frontiers during Gamescom: Opening Night Live, which airs later this evening.

KitGuru Says: For whatever reason, Sega appears desperate to bring this game out this year, even if the launch date falls in the middle of the busiest period of new releases.
