Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is PlayStation’s most successful PC game in UK

Spider-Man Remastered has been out on PC for a little while now and the game has been well received so far. Not only did the game garner positive reviews for the PC version, but it has also gone on to become PlayStation's fastest-selling PC title in the UK, beating out the likes of Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn and even God of War.

The data gathered by GamesIndustry.biz shows that the game has sold 26% more copies during its first week than the previous record-holder, God of War. Despite the high numbers, it wasn't enough to be the country's biggest PC game launch this year, with Elden Ring, Total War: Warhammer 3 and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga selling more than the new Spider-Man PC game.

According to SteamDB data, the game's population peaked at 66,436, less than God of War with 73,529 concurrent players. However, that doesn't take Epic Game Store numbers into account.

Spider-Man Remastered is the latest PlayStation game brought to the PC, but it certainly won't be the last. Uncharted 4 is still on the way, accompanied by its Lost Legacy expansion, and The Last of Us Part 1 is due to land on PC in the future too. There is also evidence to suggest that PS5 title ‘Returnal' is on the way to PC.
