We're not getting Cyberpunk 2077's expansion until 2023, but we may still get our first look at what's to come this year. After a lengthy quiet period, CD Projekt Red has announced the next Night City Wire stream, during which the studio will give us a look at what's next.
CD Projekt Red has been pretty quiet since rolling out Cyberpunk 2077 1.5 earlier this year. The big update fixed a ton of leftover issues, improved in-game systems and added new features, some of which are exclusive to PC and the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles. It seems that the team now has more to share after working away on the game quietly for most of the year.
Choooom! There's something new on the horizon – a special episode of Night City Wire!
We will talk about our upcoming anime Cyberpunk: #Edgerunners and what's next for #Cyberpunk2077. ?

Night City Wire will be taking place on the 6th of September at 4PM BST. The stream will primarily be focused on Edgerunners, the upcoming anime series produced by CD Projekt, Studio Trigger and Netflix. However, the stream will also give us a sneak peek at “what's next for Cyberpunk 2077”.
Cyberpunk 2077 has a sizable expansion on the way, which according to previous leaks, will be set in Pacifica, and will be set before the ‘point of no return' in the main game. Whether or not there will be additional expansions beyond this one still remains to be seen.

KitGuru Says: I've finished Cyberpunk 2077 twice already, once just a few months before Patch 1.5, and once after. Hopefully there will be one more free DLC drop before the end of this year, followed by the big expansion in 2023.
