AMD will launch the first RDNA 3 GPUs in November

Just hours ahead of Nvidia's planned RTX 40 GPU reveal, AMD has announced its plans for RDNA 3. We've known for sometime now that AMD's next-gen GPUs would debut in 2022, but we didn't know exactly when. That changed today with the announcement of a November launch event.

AMD's Senior VP and GM of Radeon, Scott Herkelman, tweeted out a save the date, confirming that RDNA 3 GPUs will launch on the 3rd of November:

With RDNA 3, AMD is looking to deliver a 50 percent improvement in performance per watt over the previous generation. In a blog post on improving GPU efficiency and performance per watt, AMD confirmed that this will be achieved through adaptive power management technology, a new generation of AMD Infinity Cache and packaging improvements. RDNA 3 will also make the jump to the 5nm process node.

We've yet to see RDNA 3 GPU specs revealed, but we'll hear plenty more about AMD's next generation GPUs over the next six weeks.

KitGuru Says: We'll be getting our first look at Nvidia's next-gen GeForce graphics cards today, and AMD won't be far behind with competing models.
