MSI X670E series motherboards will start at $480 in the US

AMD's X670E motherboards are just a few weeks away from releasing worldwide. Up until now, we were still unsure of pricing – however, considering they are at the top of the hierarchy of the 600-series boards, they were always going to be pricey. Still, $480 for the cheapest X670E board just seems too high.

MSI has just shared the official US pricing for four X670 motherboards. At the “bottom”, we have the PRO X670-P WIFI for $290 as the only X670 (non-E) motherboard. That's already quite expensive, especially considering its Intel 600 equivalent (Z690-A WIFI) was released for $230. Even so, that's not the worst part.

Initially, MSI's cheapest X670E will be the MPG X670E Carbon WIFI, defining the entry point for the X670E series boards. That's not stopped MSI from pricing it at a whopping $480 however.

After the MPG board comes the MEG series with two models: the X670E Ace and the X670E Godlike. The former will put you back $700, while the latter will go for an eye-watering $1300. Ouch.

KitGuru says: As of now, we only know the prices for the MSI X670 motherboards. However, we can't imagine there will be too much variance, so X670E will likely be limited to only the cash-rich enthusiasts.
