Back in 2021, we learned that Sega was looking to bring its Yakuza spin-off series, Judgement, to the PC platform. However, due to the game using the likeness of a Japanese celebrity, there were seemingly issues getting all parties to agree to a PC version. Now a year later, it looks like Sega may have found a way around this.
Judgement and Lost Judgement have now been rated for PC by the ESRB, indicating that an official reveal and launch should be on the way soon. PC versions of both games were spotted on the ratings board database, with both passing certification.
Typically, a game will be officially announced soon after obtaining an ESRB rating. Sega has found great success on Steam in recent years after bringing the entire Yakuza series over to the platform. Now, Sega wants to continue that success with Judgement, a spin-off that was previously limited to consoles.
Judgement shares a few similarities with Yakuza, but puts players in the shoes of a detective looking to solve a string of murders. Another Yakuza spin-off, Like a Dragon: Ishin is also in the works, alongside a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

KitGuru Says: If you are a fan of the Yakuza games and prefer the action gameplay style of the Kiryu saga, then Judgement is worth trying out once it comes to PC. Unlike Yakuza 7, which went in a turn-based direction, Judgement stays true to the original games and offers similar action combat.
