Crystal Dynamics is seeking fan feedback on a Legacy of Kain revival

One of this year's most shocking gaming stories was Embracer Group's acquisition of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, as well as several prominent IPs, like Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, and the game we are talking about today, Legacy of Kain. Now under new ownership, it looks like Crystal Dynamics is finally looking to bring its classic vampire IP back to the forefront.

In a new survey spotted by fans, Crystal Dynamics is asking what they would like to see in a new Legacy of Kain game. This should not be taken as confirmation that a brand new game is in development, but at the very least, Crystal Dynamics seems to be open to the idea.

The survey asks if players would like to see a single-player or multiplayer title, or if something like co-op should be introduced. The team is also seeking feedback on whether it should reboot the series, or potentially remaster/remake one of the older games and go from there.

Embracer Group has acquired a number of classic IPs over the years and its subsidiaries have gone on to release quite a few remasters. After decades of unsuccessful attempts to revive the Legacy of Kain IP, perhaps now we'll finally see a new game come to fruition.

KitGuru Says: This series has been dormant for so long that a reboot would make plenty of sense. Ultimately, I would guess the majority of fans want to see a new single-player Legacy of Kain game over a remaster/remake or a multiplayer-focused spin-off.
