TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection to get major update

TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection launched earlier this year to great fanfare from old and new TMNT fans alike. That being said, all is not perfect with the collection, and as such, the team have promised an update is on its way to fix these straggling issues.

Digital Eclipse Studio recently went live with a developer stream, where they discussed TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, and spoke on the many changes and improvements coming with a future update.

As collated by ReserEra user ‘chairhome’, the list of improvements set to come to TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection will include:

  • An improvement to the game’s online functionality
  • General enhancements for some games which suffered from undisclosed issues
  • 10 credits in SNES Tournament fighters works now
  • Enable Ultimate Move in story mode for Tournament Fighters (SNES/SFC)
  • Low pass filter for GEN will be added
  • Team battle mode will be enabled on SFC version of Tournament fighters (Japanese version only)
  • Dip switch settings for arcade games will be more accessible via enhancement menu
  • Updating the in-game strategy guides for Tournament Fighters for NES and GEN to have more info
  • Legacy Arcade sticks which previously weren't working on PS4/XBOX should soon be fixed
  • Mapping special moves to one button in the beat em up games is going to be a front-end menu option for ease of accessibility.

TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection was already an impressive package for fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. With Digital Eclipse Studios promising to improve it further, The Cowabunga Collection will soon be by far one of the best ways to experience these games of old.
