Next Need for Speed game set to be officially unveiled on Thursday

The Need for Speed franchise has had its ups and downs, with the series most recently suffering from a string of less-than-stellar releases. Despite this, another Need for Speed is on its way – with the reveal trailer now announced to be going live this Thursday.

On Thursday the 6th of October at 4PM UK time, EA will be going live with its reveal trailer for the upcoming Need for Speed, with the publisher saying:

“Hit subscribe and join us for the countdown to reveal! Be amongst the first to see the evolution of Need for Speed! Go fast and get noticed in the latest instalment from veteran developer Criterion Games.”

The last 4 Need for Speed games were developed by Ghost Games, with Criterion Games known best for working on the franchise back in the early 2010s – having developed fan favourites such as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (2010) and Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012).

Outside of Need for Speed, Criterion Games have worked on many much-loved racing titles, including but not limited to creating the entire Burnout franchise.

With Criterion Games once again working on a Need for Speed game, there is hope that this upcoming entry might be the best one in years. Of course, caution is always advised when it comes to EA games, and so we will have to wait and see. Luckily, we don’t have to wait long.
