Forza Horizon 5 gets massive 10th anniversary update

The Forza Horizon series has entertained fans for a decade now with fun and exciting open-worlds to explore and race in. Celebrating the series’ 10th anniversary, Forza Horizon 5 is getting a major update, featuring dozens of new additions.

Making the announcement on their blog, Alan Walsh, the communications specialist at Turn10 studios said, “The Horizon 10-Year Anniversary is almost here, and Horizon Mexico is ready to celebrate the incredible milestone as Forza Horizon 5 players are invited to relive some of the series’ most iconic gameplay moments.”

Going live on the 11th of October, the 10th anniversary update will net you “immediate access to an all-new Horizon Origins Story, the returning Midnight Battles game mode where you can score rare cars by winning intense head-to-head races, and fan-favorite festival music coming to your radio dial on Horizon Mixtape.”

This will then be followed by a month-long anniversary themed Festival Playlist which will let you unlock cars from past Horizon games, new cosmetics for your character and additional Horizon Mixtape songs.

In total, the 10th anniversary update comes with quite a lot of new content, namely:

  • 5 New Cars
  • 97 New Eventlab Props
  • 22 New ADV.1 Wheels
  • 15 New Songs
  • 4 New Midnight-Battle Races
  • 4 New Seasonal Festival Sites
  • New Horizon Story
  • 8 New Achievements
  • 28 New Accolades
  • 7 New Badges

Forza Horizon 5 offers a fun playground in which players can do as they please – as long as it can be done while driving in a car.
