MSI teaser confirms upcoming Intel Z790 motherboard launch

MSI has started teasing the release of a new series of motherboards. The announcement itself doesn't specify which motherboards MSI is talking about, but a close look at the image shared by the company suggests Intel Z790.

Over the weekend, in a now deleted tweet, MSI announced its own live stream for the 27th of September at 17:20 BST, 20 minutes after the start of Intel's Innovation keynote. The tweet also contained four images teasing different motherboards. Considering the timing, we can only assume that MSI was teasing the launch of Z790 motherboards.

Unfortunately, the initial tweet was deleted and not replaced, so we are left unsure as to whether or not MSI's stream is still happening, or if it was delayed to not compete with Intel's keynote.

Fortunately, the team at VideoCardz archived the teaser image, and after zooming around different parts of the image, they found “MSI MPG Z790 Edge WiFi DDR4” written in the corner, confirming Z790 motherboards are on the way.
