Gigabyte registers new Gigabyte RTX 30 series Project Stealth cards, including a 16GB RTX 3070 Ti

The first Nvidia RTX 40 series graphics cards are just around the corner, but it looks like RTX 30 will be sticking around for a while into the new generation. Over the weekend, new Gigabyte GPU listings were spotted on the EEC database, including a new 16GB RTX 3070 Ti.

The EEC listing found by @harukaze5719 shows that all the cards belong to the Gaming OC series. To be even more specific, the ‘ST' suggests these cards should be Project Stealth models, meaning their PCIe power connectors are on the bottom, facing the right-side panel of the case when mounted horizontally.

Looking at their names, we see Gigabyte has registered an RTX 3060 12GB, RTX 3060 Ti 8GB, RTX 3070 8GB and RTX 3070 Ti 8GB. Moreover, an RTX 3070 Ti model with 16GB of memory is also included, despite Nvidia having never announced such SKU. We've seen various mentions of such a SKU in leaks, but nothing official.

The last time we heard of a new RTX 3070 Ti model was in the recent report claiming Nvidia would launch new RTX 30 series SKUs to empty its excessive stock. Based on the rumours, this new RTX 3070 Ti SKU would use the GA102 GPU, the same one used on the RTX 3080 and 3090 series. However, the rumour didn't mention this GPU would come with 16GB of memory.

KitGuru says: Would you buy a new RTX 3060 or 3070 series GPU knowing that the new RTX 40 series will probably debut in a month or so?
