Skull & Bones has already had multiple release dates, and multiple delays over the last five years. The game was supposed to finally release in just a handful of weeks, but now at the last minute, the game has been delayed once again.
Initially scheduled to arrive in early November, Ubisoft has now announced that Skull & Bones has been delayed again, this time by 4 months, pushing it to March 9th 2023. This means the game will still launch within Ubisoft's current fiscal year, but whether you are an investor or just a games fan, I'm not sure I would trust any release date attached to this game at this point.
Speaking on the delay, Ubisoft explained that after private technical tests in recent weeks, the team has decided to delay the game again in order to “further polish and balance the experience”.
Skull & Bones is a multiplayer game, encouraging players to team up and cruise the Indian Ocean during the ‘golden age' of piracy. You'll be gathering loot and resources, buying upgrades for your ship and going out on NPC-given missions. Unfortunately, this will be the first title to introduce Ubisoft's new $69.99 price tag for new ‘AAA' releases.

KitGuru Says: In my opinion, Skull & Bones missed its prime release moment several delays ago. At this point, I'm not sure how much of a player base this game will gather unless it manages to deliver something truly exceptional on the gameplay front.
