Fallout 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC is getting a free upgrade

Fallout is commemorating its 25th anniversary, and as part of it, Bethesda has been holding events on Fallout 76 to celebrate the milestone. However, it seems it won't be the only game to get something out of this celebration. Fallout 4 will soon receive a free upgrade for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, introducing new features to improve performance, visual quality and even more content.

The latest entry to the main Fallout series has been available for quite some time, and despite the initial criticism by hardcore fans, many are still enjoying it to this day. Bethesda stopped updating the game in November 2017, but the modding community has kept the game alive. Bethesda has now decided to give one last update to the game, upgrading it for next-gen consoles.

As per the developer, the update will include performance mode features for high frame rates, quality features for 4K, bug fixes and even more Creation Club content. Unfortunately, we still don't know when this update will release.

As for Fallout 76, the multiplayer title will soon get a new Halloween-inspired event called Spooky Scorched running up to November 8th. Moreover, from October 25th to November 8th, players can claim free daily items on the Atomic Shop and complete unique challenges to unlock even more stuff as part of the Fallout 25th Anniversary Challenge.

Lastly, there's a free bundle for Amazon Prime subscribers, available from November 2nd, 2022, until February 2nd, 2023, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, from October 27th, 2022, to December 27th, 2022.
