Far Cry 6 ‘Game of the Year’ Edition includes DLCs and a new expansion for $120

Last month, a Windows Store leak revealed that Ubisoft is planning a Game of the Year Edition for Far Cry 6, which will include all previously released DLCs, as well as a brand new expansion. This week, Ubisoft made it official, releasing the new GOTY edition, but it has a very high price tag attached to it.

Typically, we see GOTY editions released a year or so after the original game, and these editions usually give players a chance to grab the base game and DLCs at a discounted price. That is not the case with Far Cry 6's GOTY edition, which carries a whopping $120 price tag – or £100 here in the UK.

Those who already own a copy of Far Cry 6 will have the pleasure of being able to spend an extra $60 to upgrade to the GOTY edition. It isn't exactly the most enticing thing, given that you are getting zero discount on the additional content.

The GOTY edition also confirms the new expansion, titled ‘Lost Between Worlds', although Ubisoft has not revealed further details about it. All we know for now is that the expansion is supposedly ‘coming soon'.

KitGuru Says: As much as I don't like the lack of discount on offer here, there is no denying that the package offers a huge amount of content, as most Ubisoft games do. Whether or not that content is any good is up for debate.
