French video game developer DON’T NOD has over the past few years amassed a dedicated following thanks to the studio’s offerings of choice-based narrative-focused emotional experiences such as Life is Strange and Vampyr. The studio has remained quiet for the past few years; however, they now seem ready to release a slew of games over the next few years – 8 titles to be exact.
Making the announcement via a press release, as part of the studio’s ‘Outlook and development’ section, DON’T NOD said “In the second half of 2022, DON'T NOD will continue to develop its rich pipeline of eight original creations, including five self-published games, one co-production with FOCUS Entertainment and two with external studios Tolima and Tiny Bull, to be published by DON'T NOD. All of these games are scheduled for release between 2023 and 2025.”
Latest figures state that DON’T NOD currently employs over 300 developers, giving each project plenty of manpower, especially as two of the projects are simply being published by the studio, not developed by them.
In terms of what these projects are, little is known. DON’T NOD no longer works on the Life is Strange series, with that honour now going instead to Deck Nine. Life is Strange aside, DON’T NOD have worked on a number of IPs, namely Remember Me; Vampyr; Tell Me Why and Twin Mirror. It will be interesting to see what all 6 of their in-house projects end up becoming.
