Asus lists RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming card with 8GB of GDDR6X memory

We've been hearing for a while now that new versions of RTX 30 series GPUs are on the way with upgraded GDDR6X memory. We've already seen a list of these GPUs from Gigabyte, and now, Asus has begun listing upgraded RTX 3060 Ti graphics cards as well.

For now, Asus seems to be the only AIB partner to have listed an RTX 3060 Ti with GDDDR6X memory on its official website. Asus has a TUF Gaming version planned, with a stock and an ‘OC' edition.

According to the spec sheet, the GDDR6X memory of these cards runs at 19Gbps, increasing the memory bandwidth by 160GB/s over the GDDR6 variant (608GB/s vs 448GB/s). The GPU specifications remained unaltered, featuring a GA104-202 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores enabled. The standard TUF Gaming card boosts the clock speed to 1665MHz (OC mode: 1695MHz), while the OC edition goes up to 1755MHz (OC mode: 1785MHz). Aesthetics-wise, they look indistinguishable from the GDDR6 models.

If Asus has already listed new RTX 3060 Ti cards, it should only be a matter of time before other AIB partners like MSI, Gigabyte, and Zotac do the same.
