Resident Evil 4 Remake will be just as lengthy as the original game

We recently got our first proper look at the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake, showcasing just some of the many changes and improvements being added with this remake. One thing which will not change however is the game’s length, with the game’s producer confirming that the RE4 Remake will be “about the same” length as the 2005 original.

In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Resident Evil 4 Remake Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi discussed the expected length of the upcoming title, claiming that it will not be too dissimilar from the original game, saying:

“When we started production on RE4 we looked into what people thought was good [in the RE2 and RE3 remakes] and what could've been done better. One example is the play time for RE4 is about the same as the original game.”

What Hirabayashi is referring to here is the fact that the Resident Evil 3 Remake was quite significantly shorter than the original PS1 title, with many fans complaining as a consequence. The OG Resident Evil 4 is more than double the length of the previous titles in the series – clocking in around 15 hours – and so to have confirmation that this game will seemingly not be skimping out on any content is encouraging.
