It seems AMD is getting ready to launch a few more Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. Besides the recently spotted Ryzen 7 7700, two new Ryzen 7000 series chips have also appeared in benchmark listings – the Ryzen 7 7800X and the Ryzen 3 7300X.
Starting with the Ryzen 7 CPU, the 7800X entry spotted by Benchleaks shows the unannounced processor has a 10-core and 20-thread configuration. The entry also shows the CPU has a base clock speed of 4.5Ghz, but it boosts up to 5.4GHz if the conditions are met. There's 64MB of L3 cache and 10MB of L2 cache. As for the Ryzen 3 7300X entry (also found by Benchleaks), it lists the CPU as a 4C/8T chip with a 4.5GHz base clock, 5.0GHz boost clock, 32MB of L3 cache, and 4MB of L2 cache.
Both chips were tested on a Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX with 64GB DDR5-3600 memory, so don't be surprised if the scores are lower than you think. In the single-core test, the Ryzen 7 CPU got 2,097 points, whereas the Ryzen 3 scored 1,984 points. In the multi-core benchmark, the 7800X achieved a 16,163 score, while the 7300X stood at 7,682 points.
Considering we're already seeing these chips show up on benchmark databases, the launch shouldn't be too far off.
KitGuru says: Hopefully these new SKUs will help lower the entry price for jumping to AMD's new AM5 platform.
