ASUS ROG peripherals see heavy discounts for Black Friday

Gaming can be an expensive hobby, and so it behoves us to find savings wherever we can in order to free up as much money as possible for purchasing video games themselves. Fortunately, as part of Black Friday, ASUS is discounting many of its most popular gaming peripherals.

Gaming is a recreational activity, and as such, should be as fun and satisfying as possible. ASUS’ ROG line of peripherals try to do just that – no matter your budget. The company’s Delta S series of headsets are all on offer currently, with the Delta S Core taking the lower end of the spectrum, being discounted from £89.99 RRP to £74.99.

As can be gleaned from its name, the Delta S Core offers the baseline set of features which one would want from a wired gaming headset, including a lightweight 260-gram design; big 50mm drivers and a detachable boom microphone, certified by both Discord and TeamSpeak.

The S Core’s older sibling – the ROG Delta S – is also on sale for Black Friday, dropping from £189.99 RRP to a more palatable £149.99 (21% off). The Delta S offers quite a few neat additional features when compared to the Core headset, including improved audio thanks to its MQA rendering technology and Hi-Res ESS 9281 QUAD DAC. The Delta S also comes with an improved microphone, featuring a bigger driver as well as ASUS’ AI noise cancelling technology. Finally, it wouldn’t be a high-end gaming peripheral if it didn’t have RGB lighting, and so the Delta S includes reactive and customisable RGB lights in the ear cups.

Most gaming mice are designed with right-handed users in mind, but if you are left-handed (or ambidextrous), then ROG has you covered with its STRIX Impact II gaming mouse. Costing just £29.99 currently (down from £44.99), this wired mouse includes an on-the-fly DPI switcher (up to 6,200 DPI), hot-swappable mouse click switches and even some RGB action. The only downside to this ambidextrous mouse is the fact that the programmable side buttons remain on the left side of the mouse.

The ROG Chakram X has seen a substantial discount from £149.99 to just £104.99, with this wireless mouse including everything you could ask for and the kitchen sink. Thanks to its AimPoint optical sensor the Chakram X features 36,000 dpi for added flexibility. Offering both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz allows for ultimate compatibility with devices. Alongside NVIDIA Reflex verification, Qi wireless charging support and 7 programmable buttons, the Chakram X even includes a detachable side mounted joystick for hybrid controls.

ASUS also has a bunch of keyboards discounted, including the ROG Strix Scope NX TKL (£134.99 down to £99.99) – designed specifically for FPS gaming thanks to its ten-keyless design for added mouse movement as well as an extended left-shift for easier sprinting. High build quality is maintained thanks to an aluminium top-plate and a detachable cable. Perhaps most importantly, the Strix Scope NX TKL comes with the titular ROG-exclusive NX switches for “fast actuation with ROG-tuned force curves for great keypress feel and feedback.”

The ROG Claymore II meanwhile (£249.99 to £199.99) offers pretty much everything you could want in a keyboard and then some, with the standout feature by far being its modular design – allowing you to attach a number pad to the left or right side of the keyboard depending on your need/preference. The Claymore II also comes with a magnetically detachable wrist rest; wired or 2.4GHz connectivity (with a 1ms response time in either instance); fast charging and USB passthrough; four large customisable hotkeys and a volume wheel. As expected, the Claymore II uses ROG’s RX Optical Mechanical Switches for “consistent wobble-free keystrokes with near-zero debounce delay.”

These are but a few of the MANY products currently on sale as part of ASUS’ Black Friday deals, with the full line-up including motherboards; monitors; laptops and even smartphones. ASUS’s Black Friday sale is live right now and will run until the 2nd of December.
