Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was supposed to release a long time ago, but development issues led to repeated delays for the game. At this point, the project is being worked on by a new team, and while we still don't have a new release date, Paradox Interactive thinks a 2023 launch is quite possible.
In an interview with Privata Affärer, Paradox CEO, Fredrik Wester, said that the team will “probably be able to set a launch date” for Bloodlines 2 soon. Wester also went on to say that a 2023 release is “absolutely not impossible”, which is far from a confirmation, but it is perhaps the most positive update we've had on this game's development for quite some time.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 was first announced at GDC in 2019, with Hardsuit Labs developing and aiming for a 2020 release date. By late 2020, creative leads on the project had left and the game needed to be delayed. In 2021, Paradox stepped in and delayed the game indefinitely and put it in the hands of a new development studio, leading to further layoffs at Hardsuit Labs.
When Hardsuit Labs was taken off of the project, Paradox came close to cancelling the game entirely, but ultimately, the publisher chose to put the project in the hands of a fresh team. Given Wester's recent comments, we can expect a more official development update on the game sometime in the coming months.

KitGuru Says: Given that this game was rebooted in 2021, I would be surprised if it did release in 2023. Still, crazier things have happened, so we'll just have to wait and see what the next proper update holds.
