Cooler Master is launching two new Mini-LED monitors for 4K and QHD gaming

Cooler Master is expanding its monitor lineup this year with new Mini-LED gaming displays. there are two new options to choose from, both offering a Fast IPS panel, a quantum dot enhancement film to improve colours, and Mini-LED backlighting, which improves HDR performance.

The Tempest Mini-LED series consists of the Tempest GP27U (4K 160Hz) and Tempest GP27Q (QHD 165Hz). Both are 27-inch displays, capable of producing 99% and 98% of the Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 colour gamuts. With 576 local dimming zones, you get HDR with up to 1200 nits of peak brightness and a contrast ratio of 50,000:1.

Tempest GP27U utilizes full bandwidth HDMI 2.1, equivalent to 48Gbps, and completely supports consoles like the Xbox Series X and PS5 at 4K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate without the need for any Display Stream Compression (DSC), making this a great option for both PC and console gaming.

The Tempest GP27Q is a more affordable option, offering a 1440p display instead, with HDMI 2.0 rather than HDMI 2.1, gearing this one more towards the PC gaming market.

Both monitors will be available in the UK starting in mid-December. The Tempest GP27U will launch at £799.99 and the Tempest GP27Q will launch at £499.99.
