Last month, Crystal Dynamics went live with a survey asking for fan feedback on a potential future game in the Legacy of Kain series. Sure enough, fans took to the survey and spoke out, with over 100,000 entries.
As far as surveys go, getting more than 100K entries is quite the feat. The overwhelming response to the idea of a new Legacy of Kain game has not been lost on Crystal Dynamics, which has now addressed this during Embracer Group's latest earnings call. As reported by VGC, Crystal Dynamics CEO, Phil Rogers, spoke on the earnings call, confirming that the survey saw huge numbers.
According to Rogers, they typically expect to see between 1,000 and 3,000 responses to surveys like this, but for Legacy of Kain, fans came out in droves, leading to over 100,000 responses, with 73,000 entrants completing the survey in its entirety. Now, with the demand for a new game clearly there, and the studio will continue to explore the “possibilities ahead” for a new Legacy of Kain game.
There is nothing to officially announce at this time. We could see a set of remasters first, followed by a long-awaited sequel, or possibly even a complete reboot. We'll have to wait and see where Crystal Dynamics lands on this, but this is perhaps the most positive news Legacy of Kain fans have had for years.

KitGuru Says: It would be interesting to see the full results for the survey, such as how many voted for a remaster, reboot or a brand new sequel. Did any of you fill out the survey a few weeks ago?
