Just yesterday we reported that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – the sequel to 2019’s much-loved action-adventure title from Respawn Entertainment – looks set to be arriving in March 2023 thanks to an update on the game’s Steam page. Following this, EA has now confirmed that we will get our first look at gameplay this Thursday during The Game Awards.
Making the announcement on Twitter, the official EA Star Wars account said “The journey continues… Experience the action-packed gameplay of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor @thegameawards – streaming live Dec. 8”
Set 5 years after the conclusion of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, we currently know little about what Jedi: Survivor will be about – though it has been confirmed that Cal Kestis will be returning.
Alongside the announcement, EA released a promotional poster showing Cal and his droid companion BD-1 stood atop rocky terrain. Interestingly, Cal seems to be equipped with a blaster of some kind alongside his Lightsaber, suggesting perhaps that combat will be expanded in multiple ways.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to see what Star Wars Jedi: Survivor looks like, as official gameplay will be showcased in just a few short days on Thursday the 8th of December.
