Galax introduces its first PSU – the 80 Plus Platinum Hall of Fame GH1300

Galax is mainly known for manufacturing Nvidia-based graphics cards. However, the company is now expanding into the PSU market with the Hall of Fame GH1300, a 1300W ATX 3.0 power supply with 80 Plus Platinum certification.

The news was first shared by ITHome (via VideoCardz), which has found multiple listings of the GH1300 PSU on TaoBao, with prices varying between ¥1,878 (£225) and ¥2,099 (£251). The unit comes in a white casing with a white 120mm fan, adding a bit of variety to the black and grey colour schemes we're used to seeing in power supplies.

As per these listings, this PSU is rated for 1300W nominal power, capable of peaking up to 2600W. Based on its 80 Plus Platinum certification, we assume it has at least a 92% efficiency at 50% load. The unit measures 140x150x86, meaning you should be able to mount it inside most cases compatible with ATX PSUs.

Like the Hall of Fame branded graphics cards, this PSU is also targeted at overclockers and enthusiasts. For that, Galax designed the GH1300 PSU with two 16-pin power connectors (12VHPWR), a perfect match for the Galax RTX 4090 HOF, the only graphics card that supports two 16-pin power connectors (power limit of 666W). Besides the 12VHPWR connectors, there are also M/B 18+10-pin, 4x SATA/Molex, and 5x CPU/PCIe power connectors.

KitGuru says: If this PSU is as good as the Galax Hall of Fame graphics cards, expect to see it in many record-breaking configurations.
