There has been conflicting reports around Black Myth Wukong and the status of its Xbox version. While Microsoft has hinted at there being a timed exclusivity deal with Sony, keeping the game off of Xbox Series X/S consoles. Now, there seems to be some proof of that.
Forbes reporter, Paul Tassi, and WindowsCentral's Jez Corden have both reported that there is an exclusivity deal in place between studio Game Science and Sony, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.
A source with knowledge of the situation has told me that Black Myth: Wukong is not currently on Xbox because of an exclusivity deal, and is not delayed because of any sort of technical issue

Sony has not commented publicly on any kind of arrangement for Black Myth: Wukong and has also not done much to market the game. Game Science also denied that an exclusivity deal is in place, instead opting to say that it needs more time to optimise the game for Xbox, resulting in a delayed release.
If it is true that there is a secret exclusivity deal in place here, then it would be a very underhanded tactic. Microsoft already took a major PR hit last year when Baldur's Gate 3 was unable to launch on Xbox Series X/S due to the Xbox Series S not being able to handle local co-op. Local co-op had also previously been cancelled for Halo Infinite due to performance issues. An undisclosed exclusivity deal for Black Myth: Wukong would further this narrative that Xbox is difficult to develop for due to the limitations of the Series S console.
