CES 2023: Leo gets in the Cooler Master ORB X, plus new coolers, cases and fans

We've already gone over many of Cooler Master's key announcements for CES 2023, but now we've had a chance to get up close with some of the more interesting products, including the new Synk X haptic feedback chair, which was surprisingly impressive.

The Synk X is a cross-platform haptic chair that converts sound waves into vibrations, providing a real-time tactile experience. The chair vibrates and jerks in dynamic situations, so you could feel something like gear shifts in a racing game. It is cool tech, though at $1299 it is certainly not cheap.

In a similar vein, Cooler Master also has a full racing simulator setup, which will be packaged and sold in the coming months, although you'll need to supply your own monitors. Finally, we have the Orb X, which has been covered a few times already. This is Cooler Master's immersive system setup, enclosing the user in an orb with a reclining chair in the centre and room for triple monitors.

Next up we have the Cooling X, a new system with metal finned side panels and an integrated reservoir, turning the chassis into a large heatsink for additional passive cooling. Other new cases include the QUBE 500 with snap-on panels and the TD500 Mesh V2, which is a budget-friendly airflow-focused case with a tempered glass side panel.

On the cooler front, Cooler Master has debuted the new Mobius 120 OC fans, the new Hyper 212 HALO air cooler, the Hyper 622 cooler with 6 heatpipes, and the MA824 Stealth. For AIOs, we have the MasterLiquid Atmos and the MasterLiquid ML360  Sub-Zero Evo. The former is a new AIO focused on using sustainable materials, while the latter is a TEC cooler designed in partnership with Intel, capable of achieving sub-ambient temperatures. However, this is a very limited-run product with few units being produced, so don't expect to see one of these in many builds.
