Sony reveals most popular PS+ games for 2022

As 2022 nears its end, many services have begun to look back at the past 365 days or so. Alongside a personalised 2022 wrap-up, Sony has released the list of its most popular PlayStation Plus titles.

Sony has begun to sunset 2022 with its PlayStation Wrap-up, letting players see detailed stats regarding their game playing habits over the past year. Alongside this however, the console manufacturer also released some community statistics, revealing the most popular PlayStation Plus titles broken down by each of its three separate tiers:

Top PS+ Monthly Games (Essential)

1. FIFA 22
2. UFC 4
3. Dirt 5
4. Team Sonic Racing
5. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2

Most popular PS+ Extra games

1. Stray
2. Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales
3. Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut
4. Assassin's Creed Valhalla
5. Red Dead Redemption II

Top Classic Games on Premium

1. Mafia: Definitive Edition
2. God of War III Remastered
3. Disney Pixar Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue
4. LEGO Harry Potter Collection
5. Tekken 2

It is interesting to see the different gaming habits of different players, especially when it comes to comparing subscription services to individual game purchases. Hopefully Xbox releases their list of 2022 biggest Game Pass games next.
