Hogwarts Legacy has suffered a couple of unfortunate delays, but the game is now on track for its February release date – at least on current generation platforms. This week, WB confirmed that the game will not launch on time for Xbox One, PS4 or Nintendo Switch.
While Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on the 10th of February, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch players will have to wait a bit longer. In an effort to bring the ‘best possible game experience' across all platforms, the development team is taking extra time to test and optimise the last-gen versions of the game.
Hogwarts Legacy will launch on April 4, 2023 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on July 25, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. The team is looking forward to bringing you the game and we want to deliver the best possible game experience across all platforms.

As of now, Hogwarts Legacy for Xbox One and PS4 will arrive on the 4th of April 2023. The Switch version will arrive a couple months later on the 25th of July. These delays for cross-gen titles aren't entirely uncommon, as we've seen a few other games, like Marvel's Midnight Suns, delaying the last-gen versions.
Nintendo Switch owners in particular will be used to this, as most big AAA multi-platform launches arrive later on Switch due to the extra time required to get performance up to acceptable levels.
