Microsoft set to host a new Xbox Showcase event on January 25th

Microsoft and its respective game studios already have plenty in the works, but it seems is on the way as 2023 gets underway. The tech giant is reportedly planning to host a new Xbox Games Showcase event on January 25th, which will give us more details about some previously announced titles and reveal some new games too.

According to WindowsCentral, the event will give us a chance to learn more about Redfall, the new Forza Motorsport game, and Minecraft Legends, as well as include new content from ZeniMax Online Studios. Unfortunately, Starfield isn't expected to make an appearance, but a later event dedicated solely to the upcoming Bethesda title is in the works.

Based on the report, the event looks more like a way to hype people up for what we already know is coming, rather than an announcement reel type event like the ones we're used to seeing from Sony and Nintendo.  The event will be called “Xbox Developer_Direct” and is scheduled for January 25th at 8 pm GMT (subject to change).

Those interested in watching will be able to do so on Xbox Twitch and Youtube channels.
