At launch, the Professional PRO-G40 comes in just two capacities; 1TB and 2TB (the drive we are reviewing here). The drive is rated up to 2,700MB/s and 1,900MB/s for read and writes respectively in Thunderbolt 3 mode and up to 1,050MB/s for reads and up to 1,000MB/s for writes when plugged into a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port.
The Professional PRO-G40 has been built to survive life on the road as it has 3m drop protection, IP68 dust- and water-resistant protection and can handle a crushing impact up to 1,814Kg (4000lb).
