Upcoming HP Omen 17 gaming laptop can be configured with an RTX 4090 16GB GPU

It looks like Nvidia will soon be launching the first RTX 40 mobile GPUs for laptops. It seems the upcoming HP Omen 17 gaming laptop will be one of the first to feature a new-gen Nvidia laptop GPU, as it has been spotted with the RTX 4090 listed as a configuration option.

The HP Omen 17 laptop listings found by @momomo_us shows HP is at least preparing six different models with four CPU+GPU configurations. All listed laptops come with the currently unreleased Core i7-13700HX laptop CPU paired with either an RTX 4060, RTX 4070, RTX 4080 or RTX 4090 laptop GPU.

As per the listings, the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 will feature 8GB of memory, while the RTX 4080 comes with 12GB. The flagship RTX 4090 for laptops will pack 16GB of VRAM.

Nvidia is expected to share more information on the RTX 40 series laptop GPUs at CES 2023, where it will hold a keynote on January 3rd.

KitGuru says: We'll be seeing new laptop GPUs and CPUs launching in Q1 2023, so if you are currently looking to buy a new gaming laptop, it might be worth waiting a while longer to see new models announced sporting new-gen hardware.
