Hogwarts Legacy has already sold 12 million copies

It is no secret that Hogwarts Legacy had a hugely successful launch, one quick look at peak concurrent player counts and deluxe edition pre-orders confirms that. However, we didn't have any specific sales figures. That changed last night, with Warner Bros confirming that 12 million copies have been sold so far.

Hogwarts Legacy is WB's “biggest launch ever”, shipping 12 million copies in the two weeks since launch for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. According to WB, players have accumulated a total of 280 million hours played so far.

Hogwarts Legacy should get another sales boost in a couple of months too, as the game is due to release for Xbox One and PS4 consoles in April, and the Nintendo Switch in July. In terms of revenue, the game has generated $850 million since releasing two weeks ago, making the game an immediate financial success.

Currently, there are ‘no plans' for Hogwarts Legacy DLC, but it is also possible that the developers don't want to announce anything before getting the game out on all promised platforms.
