While Nvidia hasn't officially announced the RTX 4070 Ti, a number of leaks are pointing to a January launch for the new graphics card. In the latest leak, we see this GPU tested in OctaneBench, tested with both CUDA and Metal APIs.
The benchmark entry spotted by a user of the LaptopVideo2Go forum (via VideoCardz) is the only one in the database, so it may not accurately represent the GPU's rank in OctaneBench. Still, with 725 points, it currently sits in the 3rd place. This score is followed by the RTX 4080 in 2nd with an average of 928 points and the RTX 4090 in 1st with 1,268 points.
Although it's the lowest-ranked RTX 40 series GPU, the 725 points it scored was enough to blow past all RTX 30 series GPUs, including the RTX 3090 Ti, which can be found in 4th place with 688 points. That puts the RTX 4070 Ti 5% above the RTX 30 series flagship GPU. Despite the impressive score, one should note that we don't know the card's exact configurations nor if the card was overclocked.
Rumours claim Nvidia will announce the RTX 4070 Ti on the 3rd of January during its CES keynote.
KitGuru says: Will the RTX 4070 Ti be able to outperform the RTX 3090 Ti in games? Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer to find out.
