The Day Before finally gets its gameplay reveal

Fntastic found itself making headlines for the wrong reasons recently, after a suspicious trademark dispute and release delay had fans questioning whether or not the studio's upcoming game, The Day Before, even existed. Now, the studio has revealed its promised 10-minute gameplay video, giving us a good idea of what the game has to offer.

Gamers were surprised by the first trailer for The Day Before, but this excitement has dropped significantly in the last two years. After multiple delays and recent controversies, Fntastic, the studio behind the MMO survival title, has finally released a gameplay video that gives us a proper look at the game in action:

Starting with the graphics quality, the game's visuals look worse than what we've seen in past trailers. The most noticeable difference would be in the characters' models, but more things seem to have been toned down (lighting, shadows, etc). It's also worth noting that the trailer doesn't show any fascinating features or mechanics, just a woman running with a guy looting the city and killing some zombies occasionally. And there's some crafting as well.

The Day Before is scheduled to release on November 10th, 2023, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

KitGuru says: Based on this trailer alone, The Day Before looks like a stripped version of State of Decay 2. With that in mind, it might be time to start reigning in expectations for this game.
