We're less than a week from the release of Square Enix's latest AAA game, and the PC system requirements have now been published. It's fair to say the title looks to be quite demanding, especially if you want to play at 4K 60FPS using Ultra settings. You'll also need a fair amount of free storage space…
If you've already played the Forspoken demo for PS5 or watched any of the gameplay trailers, you were probably expecting this game to be fairly heavy in terms of its required PC hardware. We can confirm that is indeed the case, as the developer recommends a graphics card with 16GB of VRAM, like the Nvidia RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, to play the game at 4K on Ultra settings at 60FPS.
Regardless of your system's specifications, you'll need Windows 11 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit with at least the November 2019 update. The detailed system requirements for Forspoken can be found below:

It's also been confirmed that DirectStorage will be available from launch for Windows 11 users with an NVMe SSD, making this the first game to support the technology.
Forspoken will release on January 24th on PC and PS5. For those planning to get it on the PC, you can either get the standard digital edition or the digital deluxe edition.. As for PS5 players, besides these two editions, the game will also be available in physical format.
